“[Happiest moment of the school year?] Probably, at the end of ‘Into the Woods,’ on the last night, the last number on stage, I was crying on stage. It wasn’t bad crying. It was happy crying— almost a rush of relief. Relief that just everything was okay and that everything was going to be okay. Also I was on stage, and I was remembering everything that I’d done with CET, everything I’ve done with Quinn. It was a very special moment that I’ll never forget. I feel like I’ve made my closest friends in this group of people. I’ve never felt alone. I’ll come to rehearsal knowing that I have people that have my back, and I have other people’s backs. So CET is definitely a second family to me. It’s been with me through everything in high school and we have such great comradery, and we all understand that life is hard and that there are ups and downs and we sort on [the] lookout for each other.”
