“Art is a very important aspect of my life. It is super influential for me. There is still so much that I can learn about art that I don’t know, but what I do know about art is that it does a lot for me. It’s hard communicating just through words and I find that I’m a much more visual person, so communicating through art is a lot easier for me. Expressing myself through art really puts my feelings out there more than I could through words. I just love that you can express yourself and you can say what exactly you want to say and tell a story through fashion. I love how you can paint your feelings and paint how you portray yourself. You can capture things through photos and show a fragment of your or someone else’s life or what you see through your eyes. It’s like sharing a piece of yourself. I love sculpting because I am using all my senses when I’m creating a new project. While I’m sculpting, I am feeling the clay and smelling it and it just kind of takes over. Putting all these together, I am able to experience a relief of what I may have been holding in before. Music is also a big passion of mine. I love how music can quickly change how you’re feeling just with the change of a beat or the style of music.”
