Neighborly exchange

During this period of quarantine, my family has begun a trade with our beloved friends across the street. They gifted us with squash sprouts, and we gave them tomato and mint seedlings. Whenever they buy groceries, they bring us fresh produce and offer it to other neighbors as well. Actions like these provide a sense of community on our block even when we can’t be together face-to-face.
