CHS students pose for a picture on the final day of the trip on the iconic heart sculpture in front of the Empire Store located in Dumbo Brooklyn. Nina Beals had a great time shopping and seeing the beautiful view of the Brooklyn Bridge. "I loved the last day it was super fun to connect with everyone." Beals said. "I was just happy to spend the time there with my friends."
Thought the trip students had the chance to explore the famous city, learn new skills and bond with their peers. The groups rode the subway all over New York, visiting famous places like the Empire State Building and the Brooklyn Bridge. They also enjoyed two broadway musicals, & Juliet and Hadestown. In addition, they attended sessions at Columbia University that taught them how to improve their Journalism work through elements such as photography, writing and design. These photos not only capture these experiences, but also the connections and memories made on the trip.
