Yearbook Distribution 2025

CHS students enjoyed a sunny day on the front lawn looking over their year together and signing each other’s yearbooks.

After spending her entire year creating the book, McCreadie couldn't believe it was finally time to distribute it. "I'm so proud of everything we've accomplished through this book," McCreadie said. "This has been the best team of people to work with, and I hope every student loves the yearbook as much as we loved making it."

Community students wait with bated breath to receive a copy of the brand new Midnight Sun Yearbook for 2025. Journalists had worked for the past six months to create an exciting new edition that captures the events and happenings of the year. They aimed to ensure that the book represents each student independently as much as possible and faithfully portrays the quirks and traditions of Community. Distribution is the final stage in the Yearbook’s production process; Yearbook editors get to see their hard work finally pay off, and hand copies out to people who will cherish it for years to come.

In May 2025, Jones School alumni gathered on the front lawn of now Community High School to celebrate the placement of the new monument. The plaque signifies the importance of Jones School and recognizes the people who went there. On May 23, senior Sebastian Berenfeld and the entire Hunscher-Young Forum pull with all their might during the tug-of-war competition at CHS’s annual end-of-year Field Day. Berenfeld has always looked forward to Field Day and wanted to give it his all one last time.“Tug-of-war and Field Day in general is by far my favorite school day of the year,” Berenfeld said.“There’s just something really fun that brings everyone together.”

Elle is a senior entering her fifth semester on staff and her first as an Editor-In-Chief of The Midnight Sun. Elle is a huge music lover; outside of school, you could find her playing guitar in her room, listening to her favorite albums on vinyl, or contemplating buying concert tickets. Elle also loves going on night drives, spending time in and around water, and being with her family and friends. She is super excited to be returning to room 300 and can’t wait to create the best yearbook ever.

Jack Lewis is the CHS Yearbook EIC. His interests are chickens, cars, planes, trains, fish, spices, music, herbs, authentic magic, coins, bouncy balls, rolls, cars, planes, organizations, bagels, cream, cheese, auctions, bulls, toucans, pasta, pretzels, corn tortillas, the Huron, crabs, balloons, the notes app, eggnog, salt, sand, traditional German dancing, gords, meeples, woven goods, cars and planes. He hates chickpees and bees. This is his third year on staff.
Daniel Jacob
Daniel Jacob, Photography Editor
Daniel Jacob is a sophomore at CHS and is in his second semester on staff as a photography editor. When he is not hanging out with friends or playing tennis, he is taking photos and listening to music. His new favorite albums are tied for Cole World by J Cole and Revenge of the Dreamers II by J Cole.
Malcolm London
Malcolm London, News Editor
Malcolm is the News Editor for the Communicator Magazine. By day, he writes articles and performs for the Community Ensemble Theatre. By night, he fights crime and selflessly commits honorable acts of heroism. With the shadows as his only ally, Malcolm has single-handedly turned the crime-riddled streets of Ann Arbor into a joyful utopia. This is his second year on staff.
