Theo McCready’s favorites are birds, crewneck and light-washed blue jeans. This is shown through his style—he wears what he likes.
McCready loves to buy his clothes second-hand. McCready likes to express himself through his fashion, specifically choosing everything from the collar of his shirt down to the designs on his shoes.
“I drew on my shoes,” McCready said. “I was very much in a phase where I loved the sun and the moon, so that’s what I did on both my shoes.”
McCready accessorizes with silver rings, chunky necklaces and a jeweled hair clip. What’s constant when McCready plans his outfits is his favorite color: blue.
“I wouldn’t say I really have much of a fashion sense,” McCready said. “I just wear what I like.”
McCready isn’t the only one who loves easy fashion. Krystie Linton, a Special Education Teacher Consultant at CHS, loves bold fashion.
“It lets me have a little bit of zing in my day,” Linton said. She specifically picked her blue and white patterned dress because it was comfortable and, having pockets, it’s helpful to have at school.
Linton also dresses up her fashion with accessories, mainly jewelry. Today, she wore earrings that she got in downtown Detroit with a friend.
“When I put them on in the morning, it makes me smile,” Linton said.
