Edie Kupetz engages in the Wilderness Survival merit badge at a Troop Five Scout meeting. She has enjoyed the outdoor aspects of Scouting America, as well as the leadership and service opportunities that the Troop has provided, but didn’t feel like a part of the group right away. “I was really intimidated at first,” Kupetz said. “I felt like everyone knew what they were doing, and I didn’t.”

The Kiley forum had gathered to do an escape room for Forum Day, a day deticated for forums to spend time together and a longstanding tradition at CHS. "I feel more comfortable talking to people in the forum now." said freshman Kate Honka "We all know each other more, it was so much fun."

Sarie Andes and Max Rosewig walk through the hallway together for their fifth block class. The pair have majority of their classes together, and they prefer it that way. "We're always together," Andes said. "I mean that's what best friends do!"

Alden Koschmann sticks out his tongue in the midst of sandhich shopping in Kerrytown. Koschmann spends his lunch period with his new freshman friend Wesley, in order to show teach him how things are done at Community. "I've been teaching him {Wesley} the Community ways," Koschmann said. "Today we learned what the best sandwich from Kerrytown is."

Sophomore Miles Appledorn (left) is playing Magic: The Gathering with his club during lunch. He recently refined his deck, and has been waiting to test it. "Sorting through all the cards, it's kind of an exercise of the mind," Appledorn said. "There's a lot to go through, and you learn kind of how to filter it down."

Eva Rutyna is a junior at Community and Pioneer High, and this is her first time on staff. When she’s not at Community, she’s at Pioneer singing in A Cappella, or riding around town on the city bus.
