Come see Community High’s very own read their original work. There will also be an appearance from CHS teacher Ellen Stone, the club’s advisor. She will talk about her collection, The Solid Living World, which is the winner of the 2013 Michigan Writers Cooperative Press chapbook contest. This event is free.

“Cinco De Mayo Dinner: A Night in Campache”: Zingerman’s Roadhouse
Enjoy a dinner taking you on a journey to the Mexican culture of the Yucatán Peninsula which is hosted and cooked by Bob Bennett. He will also talk about Campechano culture and Mayan History. Dinner is $60, and reservations must be made in advance. Beverages are not included in the price.

“Heart Walk and 5k Run”: American Heart Association Fundraiser
Free walk and timed 5k runs to help raise money to research and educate about heart disease. Pets are welcome at the event. Pledges are recommended, and running costs $35.
