Why Trump Should Be President

Donald Trump may be an enemy for most people, but sometimes we need the truth spoken and that is exactly what he does. Donald  Trump speaks the truth even when it may hurt. It is better to say the truth then to lie. And Hillary Clinton lies.  I am a high school student at Community High School who is currently debating whether or not Mr. Trump should become the next president of this beloved country. I am only 18 and this may be the first election I am voting in. Trump and Hillary will be making critical decisions for the next four years arguably the most important for me, because I will be deciding who is the best choice. Mr. Trump is the best candidate for the 2016 presidential election because of  his views on the second amendment, immigration and his trade policies.

The fastest presidential candidate to be supported by the NRA is Trump. The second amendment is the right to bear arms. Trump is pushing to keep the second amendment the same because he strongly believes that if we change this that it goes against what Americans believe in: that all people should be able to own guns and bear arms, without being asked hundreds of questions just to own a hunting gun or a handgun for protection of our homes. Trump believes that there should be no change in the Second Amendment. Mr. Trump says, “The Second Amendment to our Constitution is clear. The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed upon. Period.” He believes that this should not be changed. What a lot of people do not always get is that Mr. Trump does not think that just because everyone should have the right to have and own guns. He does want to make sure that they do not get into the wrong types of hands such as gang members, violent criminals, or drug dealers. Trump wants to make sure people can cherish the second amendment because it is in their rights.

The laws on immigration right now are weak, and we need to make them stronger. One of Trump’s hitting points has been to build a wall on the Mexican border and the US border to ensure that we are keeping out illegal immigrants that are coming into America. He wants to restore the integrity of our immigration system by making sure that we prioritize the interests of Americans first. Mr. Trump says he wants to “Enforce our immigration laws at the border and at the workplace. Build a border wall and end sanctuary cities.” He wants to make sure that we make us a bigger priority than people who are coming illegally to the United States of America. But Mr. Trump is not imposed on letting people into our country he does state that he wants Mexicans to come into the country. Trump says we need to “welcome those who embrace our way of life and that come in the right way.”

“Make America great again”  is pushing to bring back American jobs and not send them overseas. That is exactly what Mr. Trump wants, by bringing jobs back to the USA. The more jobs that we have in the States the more work there is for the American people and that is really important in making sure there is work for Americans and not just having everything go overseas where it might be cheaper. He wants people to start looking out for other Americans That is the republican understanding of  “Make America great again.” He wants Americans to have the jobs that are off in China and India and to bring them back.

Even though in the Republican party they believe that Mr. Trump should become president, he does lack one very important aspect. Trump is a businessman first. He is really good at being a businessman. But is that going to help him win the presidential race? A lot of people say no, just on the sheer fact that Hillary was a former secretary of the United States and was also the wife of former president Bill Clinton. So that would make her more qualified to be president because many presume she is more experienced. She has the experience, but does she have that wow-factor? Does she have what it takes to become the next president? Hillary has shown time and time again that she does not have that X-factor that can take this presidential candidate to the next level and that is to become the president of the United States.

Every time someone pushes Trump down he rises back up. That is what we need as a president. We need someone who can bend but not break. Yes, his debates are not always the prettiest, but he still is the best man for the job. I urge you to go out and vote, because one vote for Trump is one less for Hillary.
