“Trumpcare” Faces Opposition and Skepticism

Trumpcare Faces Opposition and Skepticism

With a Republican majority in Congress and Trump as president, right wing politicians finally have a clear path towards repealing and replacing Obamacare.

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan has introduced “The Patient’s Choice Act,” which, according to his website, “ensures universal, affordable health care for all Americans.”

However, the plan has faced serious opposition. Democrats argue that the plan will leave millions uninsured, and some Republicans say the plan doesn’t make enough changes.

The American people are also skeptical of the replacement; a poll by Kaiser shows most people believe the act will hurt more than it will help.
