The House Freedom Caucus is a group of 40 Republican congressmen who stopped Paul Ryan’s healthcare bill from passing through congress, saying the bill didn’t repeal enough of the Affordable Care Act.

In an interview with CNBC, Caucus member Ted Yoho said, “If we don’t repeal [the ACA], we’re gonna be left with the skeleton of the Affordable Care Act. You have the refundable tax credits. You have the mandates in the essential benefits where I have to buy maternity insurance.” Yoho was referring to the ten essential health benefits that Obamacare requires insurance to cover.  These benefits include doctor’s services, mental health services and hospital care, as well as prescription drugs such as birth control and maternity leave. Although they are deciding the health of millions of American women, every single member of the Caucus is a man.

In fact, most of the people making the decisions that will decide whether or not women have access to birth control and abortionsーthrough insurance or organizations that are currently government funded like Planned Parenthoodーare men. Only one hundred and four of the five hundred and thirty five seats in the House and Senate are filled by women. Below is an overview of some of the men who will control the fate of the health care of this nation’s women.
