I have been playing tennis for about six years now. It was fifth grade at Burns Park, where it all started. My older brother started playing, and it looked really fun so I decided to give it a try.
What was your favorite memory from last season?
Last season my favorite moment was probably, beating Bloomfield Hills. [Pioneer] has a rivalry with Bloomfield. Well actually as a team we didn’t win, but I personally won my match.
What seed do you play?
This year I played one-doubles, which was a big step from last year at five-doubles.
What are you most looking forward to this season?
I am really excited to go back to states. Last year we were fifth in the state and I am hoping to improve to third or fourth this year.
Why do you like playing tennis?
It’s a lot of fun, and you get your daily exercise in. It also allows me hang out with my friends. I also just want to stay healthy and tennis allows me to do that.
Who is your favorite tennis player?
Actually, I don’t like watching it that much. I enjoy playing it a lot, but watching it isn’t very entertaining.
