“This picture was taken when I went on vacation to Yosemite with my family. It was pretty cool, and we hiked three hours to the top of the mountain and I took a picture with my sister at the top. The one that we hiked up is called Cathedral Peak, and it was right across from El Capitan, which is what Alex Honnold free soloed in that movie. At the top we could see the route he climbed. It was probably one of the best views I’ve ever seen in person. You know, you see all these pictures online of cool sunsets and and you never really know the experience of actually seeing them. It’s completely different in person. It felt really rewarding to put all the work in and then get to see the view after the long hike.”
