“I’m really passionate about rock climbing. I don’t do it as a sport though or competitively. I like how I do it how I want it and no one is forcing me to do anything. It’s just that every sport I’ve done has been a team with doing drills and set stuff. It’s the individual freedom [that I like] and also that it’s a totally different sport than I’ve done before. It’s super satisfying when you finally climb something that you were struggling with or finishing big walls because they’re super hard to finish.”

Dan is a senior and this is sadly his fourth and final year on staff. In class, you’ll usually find Dan working hard on the website, editing someone’s work or occasionally on SNO unproductively changing his admin color scheme just for fun. Outside of class, if he’s not on the soccer field for Pioneer, he’s most likely climbing, hiking, golfing, skiing or playing tennis. And he also remains convinced that he can beat anyone on staff in ping-pong, so feel free to lower his ego and challenge him to a match.
