“I just joined the Battle of the Bands and I have been practicing every day for hours to prepare for it. I started doing it on Monday, and Battle of the Bands is Friday. I went to the Neutral Zone for a songwriting class because thats what I am interested in, and they put a bass in my hands and said I was in the Battle of the Bands. Everyone at the Neutral Zone is really nice, even outside of music it is just a really nice place for me. It doesn’t feel toxic. It feels like everyone there really want to see everyone succeed, and it is a very supportive environment.”
Ben Cooper is a senior and this is his third year on the Communicator staff. Other than writing and editing articles, Ben enjoys playing basketball, participating in Mock Trial as well as spending time with his two dogs. He is looking forward to writing all sorts of stories this year, in addition to learning and improving his writing as much as possible.
