“[Coming to America] has been hard because I’m 17 and I’m on the other side of the world without my parents. I usually talk to them about everything, and to not have them with you when you are stressed or worried about something is really hard. Also the time is different so even with the phone you can not talk to them all the time. I have learned so many cultural differences which is really great, people are able to express themselves here a lot more than in Italy. I hope to go to University in Italy and study architecture or something involving math or physics, but there is a big problem finding jobs there so I might come back to work in America someday.”
