One night my friends and I were sitting by a bond-fire, roasting marshmallows and listening to our usual music. We were talking about how we’d give anything to feel 12 years-old and innocently happy for a day. I decided to change up the vibe and play some throwback songs. I knew they would’ve known all the classic throwback songs we play every once an a while, so I wanted to play something that they hadn’t even thought about for a few years: Middle School music.

The mid 2010’s music brought us back to laughing at summer camp and walking down the hallways of Slauson Middle School. I wanted to create a playlist that gave others a reminder of the past. Hopefully one or more of these songs will send you back to the days of cheesy hair accessories, neon-colored clothes and the beginning of growing up.
