“I started coming to the farmers’ market in Detroit. At the time I was with my parents and my aunt and uncle and we were mostly selling eggs. Now for about 45 years I’ve been coming to Ann Arbor because [my] blueberry patch is that old. I was with a friend looking at another blueberry patch and asked an elderly lady. ‘Where do you sell your berries?’ ‘I go down to Ann Arbor and it’s a lot better than going to Jackson’ responds the elderly lady. So that’s how I started coming here.”
