“I’ve been playing trumpet for seven years and started playing jazz in middle school. [Jazz] started off as something I thought was cool, and you get to show off a bit [while playing]. You get to create something new when you play. I also think that when you’re playing jazz, you’re making music with other people and that’s very important. It sort of makes you feel more human when you play music, and jazz especially makes you feel that way.”
