“This picture was taken on a canoeing trip I went on over the summer to Minnesota. I’m sitting next to a canoe; the other people on the trip flipped the canoe over and decorated it really pretty and set it up like a table for my birthday dinner. There’s little fairy lights and ferns and coils of birch bark. The cake that I’m holding was quite a surprise. Someone on the trip had to get evacuated for a little bit and when they came back they had made a cake in the time they were away. When we went to go pick them up they were somehow able to sneak it onto one of the canoes without me seeing. They whipped it out at dinner, and it was just such a surprise. I was really happy, and it was just a really lovely birthday night.”
