“Having that one time of the day, when I can run, has been really helpful. It’s my anchor to my day. It’s something that’s been consistent all year, which helps, but it’s not really my favorite activity.

I’ve had some successes in running, which makes me feel pressured to take it more seriously. I remember freshman year –– when I wasn’t as good as I am now ––  [running]  felt more “just for fun” and the enjoyment of being with my team and community. Now, I feel more pressure to do well and I miss that freshman year: when I was doing it purely for the social part.”
