“This is a picture of me as Lilith in CET’s fall play, “She Kills Monsters.” She is my favorite role to date, and I made so many new friends throughout the show. I really liked portraying Lilith because she was extremely different from me, but I could still easily see myself in her. I couldn’t relate to her dominant and demonic personality, but I could relate to her real-world persona: Lilly’s struggle with sexuality and confidence. I’ve always loved theater, and have been performing in productions since I was 5. I can’t wait to keep participating in CET throughout my high school experience!”

Isabella (or Izzie) is a senior at Community and is thrilled to be continuing her journalism career. When she’s not watching Marvel movies or taking 0.5 pictures, she’s usually listening to her playlist, which contains music from M.I.A. to Kendrick Lamar. After school, you can find her objecting in mock trial or drinking a surplus of chai. Her favorite part of journalism is talking about issues that don't get enough attention and advocating for the rights of immigrants and women of color.
