“I was in Traverse City a couple [of] weeks ago for a tournament, and we didn’t lose any games, but we only won one and tied the rest. The final game actually ended early because the other team’s coach was ejected because he was yelling at the ref. I was on the sideline wondering what the ref was gonna do. He ended up telling the coach that if he didn’t stop [yelling] then he would just call the game, which happened. Even though we were winning anyway, it changed the way winning felt because it wasn’t like we had played the whole game to win officially. In the end though, it felt pretty good to win, even if it would have been nicer if we had gotten to play the whole game.”

Lucia loves surfing, watermelon, all things agriculture, and is in the process of learning how to predict the weather using clouds and enjoy long-distance running.
