Humans of Community: Tate Zeleznik
“I’m working on a few shows right now for theater, which is really fun. One production is The Visit with Community Ensemble Theater, I am the lighting crew head. I’m also playing the Mysterious Man in Pioneer Theater Guild’s production of Into The Woods which has been one of my favorite pieces for a very long time so I’m excited to be doing that show. I will be performing in my friend Lila Fetter’s show called The Impropers for a CR (Community Resource). We will be performing in December, I’m playing a character named Marty Smith as well as assistant directing, which has also been super fun. And I also have just been asked to do the lighting design for the University of Michigan Gilbert and Sullivan Society’s production of The Pirates of Penzance that will take place at the Lydia Mendelssohn Theater in early December. I also am in marching band so I have after school rehearsals for that. It’s a little overwhelming especially since now it’s college application season and I still have homework. So, it does get a little overwhelming but theater is what I love to do.”
