“I have this photo from my [8th grade] graduation. This is from when I lived in Grand Rapids, this was our friend group. This was a really emotional day, I guess because I knew I was going to be moving here. And everyone here was probably going to be going to different schools from each other. So they all knew that they weren’t going to be seeing each other anymore. I knew like everyone, by grade because I went to the school for so long, since like preschool. I miss seeing them everyday. [I miss] saying hi in the hallways, and we’d have our little shared inside jokes.”
