Humans of Community: Jacqueline Boynton
“In November I worked on a show with Young Peoples Theater called ‘Into The Woods’ and I played the witch. At first, [my role] was really challenging because of all the things I had to focus on and I didn’t know how I wanted to play my character. It got better to balance when I started to learn my lines. I did flashcards for all of my lines, so I have this whole stack that I practice with, that’s been really good for me. I would say my favorite part [of the show] is the songs because as the witch there’s a lot of emotion put into them. When I sang and saw other people dancing, I really felt the emotions of the soundtrack. During second semester, I am excited to be doing CET’s spring musical, Cabaret. I’m also planning a CR for theater, hopefully at the University of Michigan.”
