“I’m most connected with my dog, Luna. She is a Great Pyrenees and is turning eight in December. Me and my brother were saying, ‘we want another dog,’ so my mom took us up to a farm near Oscoda. She said it was a ‘Michigan Safari.’ I really love her. She really likes snow and I love being out there with her because she gets so excited. I’ve been trying to find places to walk her longer, places that are more in nature and have trees. There’s a pond near my house and it’s secluded. It’s out in the woods and a beautiful area, especially in the winter. She was originally named Munchkin, but when we got her we named her Luna because Luna is moon in French, and she’s a pretty white color.”
