Finals Week Approaches

Finals Week Approaches
Addi Hinesman

With the return from break and only a week for students to prepare for the finals ahead, one can imagine the pressure CHS students are feeling as the semester comes to a close. Abbi Bachman, CHS senior, is anxious for her upcoming final exams, feeling that time is running out despite still adjusting to being back in school.

“I feel like coming back [after break] is such a rush and jumping right into finals the next week is quite overwhelming,” Bachman said.

As a senior, Bachman does feel more comfortable with the act of taking finals due to previous years of doing so, but acknowledges that her classes have become harder, leaving her with more to prepare for.

“I think I’m most worried about my Calculus and Physics finals because they have the most information I need to have memorized,” Bachman said.

Though the stress of finals seems to take over, it is important to take the time to check in with yourself and destress, something Bachman makes sure to find time for during the hectic week.

“I make sure I’m resting and getting enough sleep,” Bachman said. “I also like to reward myself with something fun after doing enough work.”

Izzie Jacob, Print Editor-in-Chief
Isabella (or Izzie) is a senior at Community and is thrilled to be continuing her journalism career. When she’s not watching Marvel movies or taking 0.5 pictures, she’s usually listening to her playlist, which contains music from M.I.A. to Kendrick Lamar. After school, you can find her objecting in mock trial or drinking a surplus of chai. Her favorite part of journalism is talking about issues that don't get enough attention and advocating for the rights of immigrants and women of color.
