Taxidermy Collection Does Not Disappoint

Taxidermy Collection Does Not Disappoint

To learn more about the marsh birds they are currently studying, Courtney Kiley’s Ecology class walked to “The Natural History Museum” to view a taxidermy bird collection. Students were instructed to write observations about each of the birds, and many were surprised to see the actual size of the birds.

Student Anya Akhoury enjoyed the trip because of their interest in birds.

“I was really interested to see different types of birds up close,” said Akhoury. “You can’t do that in daily life.”

The trip also allowed students to prepare for the upcoming “Bird ID Test” which requires students to identify birds from photos.
