CET’s production of Tina Howe’s “Museum” opens tonight to an eager audience. Cast and crew alike are brimming with anticipation to showcase what they’ve been working on for the past few months, and Ebie Lamb, student president of CET acting as “The Guard,” is no exception.
“My favorite part of tech week is watching the whole show come together,” Lamb said. “You get the costumes, the lights, all of crew doing all of their jobs. You get all the actors, finally off-book, running around memorizing their lines in the hallway. It’s just so nice to see the show come together.”
This fall introduces a new experience for everyone due to the size of CET’s cast for this play. “Museum” sets a record with the sheer volume of its cast, boasting more than 40 actors.
“We gained at least 10 more people [this show],” Lamb said. “I’m so excited about that because we’re also going to lose a lot of seniors this year.”
Lamb hopes underclassmen will keep the enthusiasm and community of CET alive and be proactive in taking leadership roles.
Lamb has the honor of being the first actor to take the stage and start the show, made more significant by the fact it will be her last play with CET. She also got the opportunity two years ago to start the show in her first in-person performance with CET after doing a year of online theater.
Lamb’s feeling mixed emotions about having to leave CET after this year but can’t wait to show everyone the work ethic and talent that the cast and crew have.
