CHS students and teachers alike had the opportunity to roll straight out of bed and head to school this morning, Oct. 23, in celebration of Pajama Day, the first day of CHS’s Spirit Week. The halls were filled with plaid pajama pants and oversized sweatshirts, along with the occasional onesie or pair of slippers. Emily Yesowitz, senior, wore her favorite pair of pajama bottoms—which represent her love of scrapbooking. However, they weren’t the same pajamas she’d actually worn to bed the previous night.
“My real pajamas were very similar,” Yesowitz said. “A big character T-shirt and plaid pants, but everyone wears plaid so I had to be different.” She wasn’t the only one to change into pajamas to go to school. Sylvie Zawacki, senior, also changed from one pair of pajamas to another this morning. She ended up wearing her newest onesie, with a glow-in-the-dark skeleton design.
“I woke up and changed into pajamas,” Zawacki said. “Pajamas are comfy, I’ll take any excuse to wear them.”
Tomorrow’s theme is a bit less comfortable, but no less fun. Make sure to participate in “Anything But a Backpack” Day!
