Weekly prom planning meetings kicked off on Monday Jan. 29 in Ryan Silvester’s classroom. Run by Morgan McClease and Ebie Lamb, students gathered to discuss and chose a theme for the upcoming prom on April 19.

Running the prom planning committee entails picking a theme, setting up decorations, working on a budget, picking the food and ensuring that all students have to do is buy a ticket and show up. After the first meeting, the committee presidents were feeling good about this year.

“We picked our theme, and we’re all good to go,” Lamb said. “The theme is a secret for now, but it’ll show up in the Forum Bulletin in a few weeks.”
