Many fans, including CHS student Muhammad Al-Andulusi, have expressed their disappointment after the Detroit Lions blew their shot at making it to the 2024 Super Bowl. This past season was the first time the Lions had made it this far in the postseason since 1992, giving them a chance to make it to the Superbowl for the first time ever, until they suffered a loss against the San Francisco 49ers.
“Let’s just say the first half, I was just excited, stoked and very happy,” Al-Andulusi said. “And then it just started getting worse throughout the second half and we lost. We sold the game a lot and lost our chance to grow the Super Bowl. I’m disappointed.”
Born and raised in Ann Arbor, Al-Andulusi has grown up watching Lions games with his step-dad.
“I’ve always been a [Lions] fan,” Al-Andulusi said. “We haven’t done anything like this for over a decade so I’m really proud of this team.”
