“I would say it’s everything I thought it would be for the most part. When I was younger I really liked reading but I didn’t like reading scary stuff, so a lot of the books I read were kind of trashy coming-of-age types of books. All of those books are kind of centered around the same theme that like, oh, you go to middle school then straight to high school and you get bullied. I really thought that everyone would be getting shoved into lockers, so I was initially really scared for high school, but honestly I couldn’t even tell you where my locker is. Thankfully the bullying aspect of it hasn’t been the case at least for me at Community. I think that finishing up my junior year and heading into my last year here, I think my past self really would’ve wanted me to continue with advanced classes, dual enrollment or even more online classes. However I’m looking forward to a year where I’m just at Community and not in any other kind of school. I feel like this way I’ll be able to fully enjoy Community to its full extent, and truly what it is for.”
