“I like the keyboard notes used, and they help spotlight the overlapping of his voice,” Knight said. The song makes her feel nostalgic, and she appreciates its quieter details.
Knight’s current favorite artist is Frank Ocean, and she has had “Moon River” on repeat.
“It creates a kind of melancholic feeling for me and its tone reminds me of nighttime during the summers, so that’s why l’ve been listening to it so much lately,” Knight said. “I like it because of the calmness of the background instruments’ and how each note feels very intentional.”
With semester two finals coming up, Knight is trying to prioritize her well-being.
“Listening to “Moon River” just makes me feel calm and it’s strung together in a really beautiful way,” Knight said.
She is looking forward to summer break and hopes that Frank Ocean will drop a new album soon.
