“I am in a time of change in my life. And so the thing that I am hopeful for is joy. And that is coming from being more intentional about how I experienced daily life. We’re very lucky to be here, in this place and in this space and with these humans. And I think that it’s important for me to really remember that and to enjoy the time that I have versus being overly busy or overly worried or overly anxious.Just being like, Hey, this is a great moment. Hey, this is a lot of fun. Hey, you’re an amazing person. And so what I’m hoping for is joy in my day, joy in my interactions with others, joy and quiet. And just being really intentional about finding that joy. I hope that by focusing on that for myself, that I will also be kind of creating the space for other people to have that. It’s very important to me that we enjoy being here together and that I kind of set an example. We talk a lot about how learning can be fun, but I think learning can be fun. And I think being with others can be fun. I think there are amazing people here and I think when we get stuck in our own heads too much we forget that this can also be a joyful experience. If we’re going to spend this many hours of the day together let’s try and I’m not saying that every day would be perfect. This is not some sort of bizarre rose colored glasses. That’s not even my personality. But I think it’s something that I can do to live my life more intentionally.”
