Me and my grandma’s favorite dessert was chocolate lava cake. One day, the only day my mom didn’t take me to the hospital with her, I got lava cake for dessert. But that night, just as I finished the last bite of cake, my mom called– ¨Grandma Debbie has passed.¨ Now, lava cake and prayers are two things I no longer believe in.
