We are so excited to welcome everyone back tomorrow, August 26th, for the first day of the 2024-2025 school year.

We will kick off the day by meeting in forums to walk to the all school Opening Day Ceremony across the street in St. Andrew’s Church.

Afterwards, we have time in forums to get oriented to CHS. Next, we have fifteen minute classes, with a break after block 2 for lunch on the front lawn. We finish off the day with more time in forums until 3pm. Staff will be in the building to help with scheduling and other needs until 3:30.

On Thursday, we have a Friday schedule, as well as the CR application deadline. There’s no school on Friday.

Leila Durrie, Social Media Editor-in-Chief
Leila is happy to be back for her third and (sadly) final year on Communicator! When not at school, you can find her working her cafe job, studying Spanish at umich, being her younger sisters personal chauffeur, or doing theater. She also enjoys traveling, being outdoors, concerts, thrifting, and spending time with friends. She loves multimedia and is excited to work with everyone to make Social Media and all Communicator publications super great this year!!
Jonathan Carter
Jonathan Carter, Social Media Editor-in-Chief
Jonathan Carter is a Senior at CHS. This is his second year on staff, and first year as Social Media Editor in Chief, and is more ready than ever to take on whatever comes his way. When he’s not roaming the halls of Community, you can find him at a coffee shop, chugging down an expensive coffee, at the movies or walking listening to his hundred song strong Spotify playlist.
Kate Groves
Kate Groves, Social Media Editor-in-Chief
Kate Groves is a senior at Community High School, and this is her second year on staff. In her free time, she loves listening to music, participating in musical theater, reading, and being outside. She is so excited to be a Social Media EIC this year and looks forward to what the year will bring!
