Community junior, Tia Cocciolone waits with her teammates for her cross country meet in Holly, MI to begin. Cocciolone braided her teammates’ hair on the long bus ride to the meet as a way to bond and get excited to race. “Racing is a lot more than just running,” Cocciolone said. “It’s about team spirit and getting ready to fight with each other.”

A crowd of observers mark the war in Ukraine's third anniversary by attending a vigil for Ukraine on the Diag. The vigil was directed by Eugene Bondarenko, a Ukrainian native with deep personal ties to the war. “Three years into a war, there's fatigue," Bondarenko said. "Russia's ultimate goals hinge on the fact that people will simply get tired of fighting. Events like this kind of serve as a demonstration that, nope, they’re wrong. I don't know how many years they're going to have to wait, but, you know, Putin biologically doesn't have that many left.”

Although Guyton was not a member of the drive team, he found a way to show his support by wearing the costume. "I felt that we had to have someone exemplifying the Zebrotics spirit, and it had to be me," Guyton said. "It was great to put it on and really feel like part of the team."

Chloe Root prepares her Mock Trial A and B teams for a run-through of their case. The teams were going up against each other tonight, A vs. A and B vs. B. "We were talking a little bit about some of the preparations for the upcoming regional tournament in Grand Rapids," Root said. "I love editing," Hinesman said. "I love looking at people's writing, and seeing where they can grow and how I can help them."

Kai Camara enjoys a sunny afternoon before CET with friends. Kai’s friend was dragging her into the photo to make use of the good lighting and it turned into a fun wrestling game. “When you're outside, you can kind of just be as loud as you want and just have fun without worrying about other people,” Camara said. “In the winter time, I kind of hibernate, but in the summertime, I'm fully me.”

Emma Goblirsch takes time out of her busy day to sew her new pointe shoes to prepare for a dance competition over the weekend. Goblirsch loved being able to add her own special touch to the shoes, despite the extra time and energy it took. "They come without any elastics or ribbons attached, so everyone sews them on by themselves. It takes a really long time, but then they're perfect," Goblirsch said. "Everyone wants some variety. Sometimes I sew my back elastic crisscross, sometimes I sew them in just one loop, and sometimes I add extra elastic to the front."
