Peeking Through: Luca Hinesman pokes his head through the costume rack during costume fittings as he jokes around with his friends on costume crew. He has always found costumes to be a very big part of his role and always tries to find a costume that showcases both his personality and also the role he is playing. “For me, getting up on stage is always about telling a story,” Hinesman said. “That could be funny, powerful, sad and I always want the audience to leave feeling some way. Costumes play a big role on this aspect of emotion for the audience. Being bold and wearing something that is outside of my comfort zone is always scary, but it really helps the audience understand the plot and it also helps me grow as an actor and learn more about myself.”

Luca Hinesman is a big fan of Ryan Silvester's presence. He finds him to be a wonderful spectacle. "Ryan is such a silly boy," Hinesman said. "He's such a vital part of Community and really is a talented, passionate teacher. Every day he's shocked by me and my humor, and I thank him for always dealing with me."

Juniors are about to be in the thick of testing. Each CHS junior has three different tests that are required to take during April. "I've already taken the SAT, so I'm nervous and don't want to take it again," CHS junior Ellie Fox said. "I want to do well. For the other two tests, I'm kind of annoyed because they don't do anything for my postsecondary plans."

Dominic Nazario uses a miter saw to cut a 2x4 for use as a motor mount on a robot. The board was a bit of a rush job, with competition in less than a week, but making precise cuts was still important. "This saw is great because of how easy it is to line up the blade," Nazario said. "I'm very happy with how the piece turned out."

Alex Hannah, Vice President of Pioneer’s Choir Council, begins singing a single note of Christmas Rock, allowing others to harmonize with her. Later, Hannah explained how the Pioneer choir is structured. “So we have different committees, such as the social activities committee, which plans all of our events,” Hannah said. “We have about 150 people, and there are five choirs: girls, non-audition; guys, non-audition; two sort of intermediate choirs for treble voices and then one combined top choir.”

Soul Food Wednesday is a tradition at CHS that Black Student Union(BSU) conducts. For Milo Varnum, this was his first Soul Food Wednesday at CHS. "It was so interesting and cool experience," Varnum said. "The food was awesome and the people serving it were super fun and helpful. Overall, a wonderful experience and I will definitely be back."
