Kamala Harris exited the stage, finishing her speech with a powerful call to action. “Your vote is your voice, and your voice is your power,” Harris said. “So I ask you, Michigan, are you ready to make your voices heard? Do we believe in freedom? Do we believe in opportunity? Do we believe in the promise of America, are we ready to fight for it? When we fight, we win. God bless you and god bless the United States.”
Before 4 p.m, The line to enter the event formed, with people arriving as early as 11 a.m. Many students from Community High School waited to enter, including senior Charlotte Rotenberg. “I’m super excited,” Rotenberg said. “Even though I’m only 17, I’m very excited to be contributing to democracy.”
