Black Diesel: Butterfinger Latte

Black Diesel is a locally owned cafe with an education center dedicated to training new baristas and management from all over the country. Their team meets often to collaborate on recipe development and bring new creations to their menu; they then proceed to finalize their drinks through a series of taste testing and trial and error.

The Pumpkin Chai offered at Cahoots Cafe is ideal for those who want a slight touch of fall flavor. The traditional chai taste bundled with the pumpkin essence provides a drink that is not only appetizing but also has a wonderful light texture with a less dense feel than some other options. Cahoots, which began as a technology corporate meeting space, quickly developed into the beloved cafe it is today. The cafe uses naturally sourced ingredients from business partners such as the Ann Arbor Farmers Market. Then, managers and baristas discuss the classic menu items to keep and new concepts to add. The pumpkin flavor in this chai is made from all-natural ingredient simple syrup that was developed through much sampling and experimentation. This chai is a delight to have in both its iced and hot forms.

M36: Frosty Pumpkin Mocha

This mocha is a creamy drink with a strong coffee flavor that is combated with a delicate sugary taste. The mouthwatering richness makes this drink practically impossible to put down. The key ingredient in this drink is the white chocolate, which coats the drink in a very rich and addicting flavor. A pumpkin syrup is used as well to bring a classic fall feel. M36, which was originally known as Espresso Royale, has a roastery located off of Highway 36, giving it its special and memorable name.
