She said she particularly enjoyed this exercise because it was helpful in learning natural dialect. “I'm learning a lot about how native French people speak and the kind of the words that they slur together and all that stuff,” Sarnecki said. “I think that I'm responding to it more than other assignments because it's an interesting movie.”

Claire Lewis and Eloise Macdouglad are popcorn fiens, you could say. When entering their fourth block Film Lit class, they were seen with a huge bag of popcorn. "Me and Eloise found this really big bag of popcorn on the side of the road right next to the state theater," Lewis said. "I wouldn’t really say we found it, it was more like it found us."

Kaylee Gadepalli is currently in her fourth semester on The Communicator's staff. She has worked her way up to being an A&E editor and frequent contributor of all things art. "Last year I was new to journalism, so this year it’s been really cool getting to be on the other side of things," Gadepalli said. "I’m the one that people are asking questions to, and it’s crazy to think of how much you can learn in such a short time."

Beals thought this was a great opportunity to bond with her family and learn how to take new kinds of photos. "Ionie is super good at taking photos," Beals said. "So it was a great chance to learn from a pro and work with new people."

Kareem Alwan stands in the third floor hallway wearing a new pair of sunglasses. Alwan spent most of the last semester in Egypt, and has only recently returned to CHS. "It's great to be back and get to hang out here again," Alwan said. "It's just a shame nobody plays basketball anymore."
