Sylvia Stoermer, a CHS freshman, is adjusting to high school with a mix of excitement and determination. The start of her freshman year was rocky due to the significant shift from middle school to high school, but she credits the support of others for helping her thrive. “Honestly, the beginning of my freshman year was a little rocky in the beginning because of the HUGE shift from middle school to high school, but I had a lot of really supportive people that helped me get my feet back under me and really start to thrive at community! And I’m really thankful that I get to be part of the experience at CHS!”

Venus Stolerow works on the last FOS 3 project of the semester. The class’ instructions were to protect an egg after dropping it, using an airbag inflated by the reaction of baking soda and vinegar. “I think it’s really interesting because it’s a different perspective,” Stolerow said. “I’ve only ever done egg drops based on physics.”

Meghan Pillote and Eleanor Farrell are twins. During passing time, Farrell and Pillote passed each other and realized they unintentionally wore the same outfit. "I love Meghan," Farrell said. "She is my soul sister."

Esh Schaden takes a keyboard solo during a jam session at the Neutral Zone. The weekly session served as an opportunity for Esh and his friends to get together while refining their musical skills. "The best thing about the jam session is how you really get to experience working with other people," Schaden said. "Sometimes we write our own songs, sometimes we play covers, but we're always just experimenting and building off each other."

Lucia Page Sander is a passionate forumette of the Johnson forum. She has been a long-time fan of four square and is always down for a game. "I had great fun playing four square with my forum, which is the very best in all the land and plans to win all future forum competitions," Page Sander said. "I advise all other CHS forums to simply give up so as to spare their energy and emotion."

Zane Swerdlow is not messing around anymore. He thought 2024 was fun, but 2025 is going to be elite. "2024 was a fun year, but I need to balance that fun with actually working towards my goals," Swerdlow said. "2025 is my year. I’m locking in and succeeding."
