Isabella Maldonado, Opinion Editor
Isabella is in her senior year and her 7th semester in journalism. This is her second year as an opinion editor for The Communicator. She loves the law side of journalism, which really inspires her and her articles. Outside room 300 she loves baking banana bread, hanging out with her friends and being a swim teacher. She is so excited for her final year in journalism!
Jake Williams, A&E Editor
Jake Williams is a senior at Pioneer High School and Community High School and is in his 3rd semester on staff. When not in school he spends his time building sets for PTG, coaching flag football at Wide World Sports Center, hanging out with his friends, watching movies, listening to music and playing video games. He is super excited to spend another year on staff and can’t wait to write all things A&E.
Lucy Lowenschuss, Web Editor-in-Chief
Lucy is a junior at Community High school, and this is her second year on staff. You can usually find her at the field hockey field or backstage at Community Ensemble Theatre. Lucy enjoys listening to music, reading and spending time with family and friends. She is excited for her first year as a Website Editor-in-Chief!
Lydia DeBord, Managing Editor
Lydia DeBord is in her third and final year on staff! She is a firm believer in the power of summer camp and pop culture podcasts. Her favorite TV show is New Girl, which she can often be found rewatching. When she isn’t busy in Room 300, Lydia can be found shopping for pink things and being her friends’ passenger princess.
Payton Sly, Opinion Editor
Payton is a senior at Community and is starting her third year on staff! When not at school, you can find her doing super awesome and fun and cool things…..traveling, spending time with friends, the outdoors, and lots more! She loves writing opinion stories and is so excited to help produce super AWESOME content this year!!!!!!
Vedha Kakarla, Web Editor-in-Chief
Vedha Kakarla is a junior at Community High School and this is her fifth semester on staff! This is her first year as one of the Web EICs and she is super excited to take on this role. She is part of a variety of clubs including Model UN, DECA, HOSA, and Peer 2 Peer. Outside of school, Vedha spends her time playing golf and basketball and also loves hanging out with her friends and shopping.
Willow Rosenfeld, Journalist
Willow Rosenfeld is currently a sophomore at Community High School. When she’s not writing, she enjoys baking, reading and making art. She also plays ice hockey and lacrosse for Pioneer. This is her first year on the Communicator staff.
