Eva Edwards hops on Ripley Huffman's back for a piggy back ride during their break in Mock Trial. The team has worked hard to prepare for the upcoming competition. "Everything has been really coming together with both A and B teams and I'm glad to be their even though I'm an alternate this year," Edwards said. "It's never a dull moment hanging out with my friends in Mock Trial and I'm so grateful for all of the people in it."

Isla Tharp especially loved performing this number. “I love this particular song because it’s so dramatic and over the top, and it really gives a lot of room to have fun with the character," Tharp said. “Everyone brought their own twist to their reactions, and it just makes the scene so much fun.”

Alice Vandervliet, Eva Edwards, and Sadie Jacobs are braiding Edwards's hair after school in the hallway. Edwards thought that Vandervliet's French braids looked really good, so she wanted some herself. "We've all been super close since middle school, and Alice inspires me in many ways, especially with fashion and the way she looks," Edwards says. "I also think Sadie is artistic and her and Alice braiding my hair made me happy, knowing they are both so beautiful."

The night before, Miltzer pulled the melodica from its resting place in the back of a closet and cleared the dust away."This thing is a piece of junk, and I don't have a clue how to make it sound decent, I remember using it when I was younger to goof off, but now I'm playing it in front of people. There is a sort of pressure in learning a musical instrument and when you are younger, you have a reason to suck, but I don't have excuses anymore. Music is just so competitive," Miltzer said.
