Porter had been at the course since the more competitive divisions raced earlier in the day, and was disappointed with the conditions. “Really, this isn’t proper cyclocross weather,” Porter said. “On a good day, there would be rain and mud everywhere, and people would be falling all over the place. That’s the fun part about this sport.”
