Soren Anderson was attending the movie night and Plavnick wanted Anderson to feel celebrated. “I enjoy being able to celebrate other people,” Plavnick said. “Especially in a group environment and at CET, so it was really fun.”

After several hard-fought rounds, the forum won first place in both the event and the overall Field Day competition. “It was my first time winning Field Day, so it was super exciting,” Darling said. “It took a lot of preparation with the forum, but it definitely paid off.”

She had been looking forward to introducing Fox, who played a big role in her growth throughout high school. “Ellie has been a very important part of my high school experience, especially in journalism,” Amjadi Klass said. “It’s sad to see her leave, but I’m excited to see where life takes her.”

Their forum, the Silvester Forum, claimed the Spring Field Day title after not winning for several years. “It’s exciting to finally win,” Skerlos said. “This is the first Field Day my forum has won since I joined, and I hope there are many more to come.”

Nylee Harmon celebrates with the McCormick forum after winning the first round of tug-of-war at field day. They had never won a tug-of-war round before, so she was especially excited to win. “We usually get out in the first round, so winning this time was really exciting for all of us,” Harmon said. “Everyone was super happy and cheering afterward.”
