Jane Remover has been on the mind of every music listener who spends too much time online. Their hectic style with overloads of sound effects is now polished and ready for the mainstream. Remover proves this in her 2025 release, “Revengeseekerz,” releasing their finest work to date.
The album has a feel of scrolling on TikTok, every single song jam-packed with different noises. The first track, “TWICE REMOVED,” features a sample from Fortnite, specifically the sound effect when throwing an item. Details like this are what set Remover apart from other internet rappers; the tracks are full of pop culture, creative and personal. Lyrics such as “They talk about me different without friends around / Go higher than the ceiling just to lick my mouth” show Remover’s personal side, including battles with drug use and unhealthy social circles. Remover has a habit of using music as a way to vent their own life.
If you were to say this album was a sad, depressing album, you couldn’t be further from the truth. “Psychoboost,” featuring Detroit native Danny Brown, has one of the most fun, energetic-sounding beats of the year. With effects bouncing your ears from one place to the next, distortion breaking up any monotony inside, and a Crystal Castles-esque soundboard, Remover shows how they’re one of the top producers in the underground rap genre.
Remover has continued to be an underground leader and pioneer, solidifying their spot as one of the best with the release of “Revengeseekerz.” In addition to this, Remover has been the recent face of the rise of transgender artists and producers in the rap world. In the year 2025, it was one of the most impressive years for transgender representation within music. Artists from Underscores, Arca and the late SOPHIE all received their flowers unlike any year previous.
