Colorful dresses with flowing skirts covered the stage,  amid the well-painted sets choked with glitter.

In the midst of the great costuming and set design was budding talent, such as CHS student, Hannah Lehker.  Lehker played Tracy’s best friend, Penny in the show.  “We started auditioning in November,” said Lehker.  “And started rehearsals… December.”  Lehker went on to say that they put a lot of hard work into the show outside of school, especially in the last couple of months.

To the audience, all we saw was the end product of all this hard work, and Lehker said the show was “definitely better than we were expecting.”

Although at times, it was hard to hear some of the actor’s lines or singing, overall, the display was impressive.  The performance left the audience with a good feeling, and the reception area after the show packed with people happily congratulating the actors.

Many are excited to see what talent Skyline will display in future performances as Skyline’s theatre program and students develop with experience.

Skyline has performances on May 13th at 7:30pm, May 14th at 7:30pm, and May 15th at 2:00pm (matinee).
